Guided tour of the ice well

The Ice Well is a circular structure covered with a dome, which was used to store ice obtained from the Negre river or the Bòfia hole.

It was used from the 17th to the 19th century. During the coldest months, the ice was stored and preserved inside, and it was sold from spring until All Saints’ Day.
