This itinerary takes us from Solsona to Sant Esteve d’Olius via the GR-7.5. It runs along the Olius plateau, a historically very busy route as it was the main access to the fundamental communication axis of the territory, the Cardener river. An excursion that Solsona knifemakers used to make in the past to take their knives to the Cardener mills to be sharpened. The route, a little over an hour’s walk along the long-distance path, takes us to Sant Esteve d’Olius. The final destination is an important monumental complex where we find the Romanesque church, the unique crypt that it contains inside, the modernist-style cemetery and the excavated remains of an Iberian habitat and silo field.
